Refund, Return & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: August 2, 2026

GE Appliances Factory Service ("we," "us," or "our") wants every customer to be satisfied with the repair services we provide. This Refund, Return & Cancellation Policy explains your rights and our practices when appointments are cancelled, when work does not meet expectations, or when charges need to be reviewed. By scheduling or paying for service, you agree to the terms below.

1. Diagnostic & Service Call Fees

A diagnostic or service call fee is charged when a technician travels to your location to evaluate the appliance. This fee covers the technician's time, travel, and expertise in assessing the issue. Diagnostic fees are non-refundable once the technician has arrived and performed an evaluation, regardless of whether you proceed with the recommended repair.

If you choose to proceed with the repair at the time of the diagnostic visit, the diagnostic fee is typically applied toward the total repair cost. Your technician will confirm this at the time of service.

2. Repair Service Refunds

We stand behind the quality of our work. If a repair we performed fails within the warranty period (see Section 5), we will return to correct the issue at no additional charge for labor, provided the failure is related to the original repair and not caused by misuse, additional damage, or unrelated faults.

Refunds for completed repair services are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund for a completed repair, contact us within 30 days of the service date. We may require a return visit to inspect the appliance before issuing any refund. Refunds, when approved, are issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.

We do not offer refunds for:

  • Diagnostic or service call fees (see Section 1)
  • Parts that were correctly installed and functioning at the time of service
  • Labor on repairs where the appliance was subsequently damaged by misuse, power surges, or third-party intervention
  • Services rendered more than 30 days prior to the refund request

3. Parts & Materials

Parts installed during a repair are sourced from manufacturers or authorized distributors. Installed parts are non-returnable once a repair is completed, as they cannot be restocked. If a part proves defective within the warranty period, we will replace it at no cost under the terms of Section 5.

In cases where a repair estimate is provided but you choose not to proceed, any parts that were ordered specifically for your repair and cannot be returned to our supplier may be charged to you. You will be informed of this before any parts are ordered.

4. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel or reschedule a scheduled appointment without penalty if you provide at least 24 hours' notice before the appointment time. To cancel or reschedule, call us at 123-456-7890 or email info@geappliancesrepair.com.

If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or if the technician arrives and is unable to access the property or appliance (a "no-show"), a cancellation / missed appointment fee equal to the diagnostic fee may be charged.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to technician unavailability, severe weather, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, we will contact you promptly and reschedule at no additional charge.

5. Warranty on Repairs

All completed repairs are backed by a limited warranty:

  • Labor warranty: 30 days from the date of service. If the same issue recurs due to our workmanship within this period, we will return and correct it at no charge.
  • Parts warranty: Parts carry the manufacturer's warranty, which varies by part and brand. We will pass through any applicable parts warranty to you.

The warranty does not cover failures caused by misuse, power surges, further damage by a third party, normal wear and tear, or unrelated issues that develop after the repair.

6. Payment & Billing Disputes

Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods as indicated at the time of booking.

If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us within 30 days of the service date. We will review the invoice and respond within 5 business days. If you initiate a chargeback with your card issuer before contacting us, we reserve the right to dispute the chargeback and provide documentation supporting the charges.

7. How to Request a Refund or Submit a Complaint

To request a refund, file a complaint, or discuss a billing concern, please contact us using the information below. Include your name, service address, appointment date, and a brief description of the issue.

We aim to respond to all refund requests and complaints within 3 business days.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund, Return & Cancellation Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
